I’m planning on getting sedation work done this fall. I’ve heard that most insurance companies wont pay for the sedation-does anyone know how much it generally costs for the sedation itself?
I need a ton of dental work done and am totally freaked out about it.
I have medical assisstance, and am planning on going to the U of MN Dental School. Does anyone know if dental schools use sedation dentistry?
I have trouble sitting through a regular dental appt, and the school appts are 2x as long. I know why, I just don’t think I can sit thru an appt there w/out something to knock me out.

I need close to $2,000 of work done on my teeth, but I get extremely nervous when I know I have a dentist appointment comming up. When I am at the appointment, I get even more scared and i’ve had a panic attack. I’ve been reading people’s experiences with sedation dentistry and it sounds like the way to go for me. I am also aware that it does cost more, but my question is how much more? As I stated before, I need around 2,000 dollars of work done, so approximately how much would that be if I took the sedation route?

Step 2 – Looking for a cheaper one to whitens your teeth. Peroxide can help your teeth also. This can be found in most homes. Just like the soda all you need is to brush your teeth with this peroxide and Swiss a couple of teaspoon around your mouth for just a minute. After swishing, spit out the peroxide and rinse well with water. You can also use a cotton swab into the peroxide and rub over your teeth.
Step 3 – The 3rd one is the strawberry. All you need is to rub your teeth with a slice of strawberries just like also brushing your teeth. But, it’s important to brush your teeth immediately after applying the strawberries because strawberries contain acid and natural sugars.
I have no courage whatsoever to go through it even with laughing gas. Is sedation dentistry dangerous?
I just started going to a new dentist (my old one retired), and he offers something called "sedation dentistry," which he says will let me sleep through the entire appointment while the dental work is being done. Is this really as good as it seems? Are you actually asleep the entire time, or just drowsy and relaxed?
